LEARNING IN MPALE
Learning process in Master Program of Arabic Language Education implemented through face-to-face activities in class and field activities. At the first meetings, the lecturer provides and directs students about the substance of the course material and the things relating to the lectures process. Then students are given the task for making papers based on literature and field studies to be presented according to the topics contained in the syllabus. besides papers, students are assigned to translate, review journals, book reports or chapters in the form of chapters/book reports according to the subject, from Arabic or English sources.
In the end lectures the students are required to submit revised papers, translated, or chapter / book reports, and group or independent papers according to the characteristics of the course. The student’s final score is cumulative from attendance, revised papers, activeness during the lectures process, structured assignments, adab al-thalib, mid semester test, and end semester test. mastering the theoretical concepts and skills of the Master Program Arabic language for special purposes equivalent to the level of IMALAH B2 (Ikahtibarat Maharah Lughah Arabiyah) and TOEFL 500 points.
